I’m super excited to announce my upcoming solo show (my first major solo show since 2011) at Fullerton College Art Gallery, in conjunction with my residency at Fullerton College. The Fullerton College Art Department is one of the select few college art departments in the nation who can boast an ongoing, yearly, viable and prestigious Artist in Residence program. When California artist Wayne Thiebaud helped launch the first residency in the early 1970s, the Art Department  had no idea that a new chapter in its history would be written. Decades later, the impressive list of guest artists include Miriam Schapiro, Frank Romero, Mia Tavonatti, Thomas Campbell and Gronk Nicandro, just to name a few. I am so proud to be the 2018 recipient!

The show, entitled Allegory for Grief and Grace, opens March 8 from 5-7 pm. It is open to the public! The show will feature 25 original paintings on wood, 60 drawings on paper, a limited edition signed print, an installation of sketchbooks from the past few years, and numerous illustration projects and commissions. I will be present at the opening, and would love to see you there! Most of the paintings and a limited edition prints will be for sale at the show.

If you cannot attend, or you would like, I will also be giving a public talk at Fullerton on March 13.

Details and info for both events (plus general gallery hours) are below:

+The opening will be held in the Fullerton College Art Gallery and is open to the public (here is a map, and $2 parking location is here).

+I will also be speaking at Fullerton College on March 13 at 7 pm on a topic near and dear to me: finding your creative voice (and my own related story). That lecture will also be open to the public. Please go to Wilshire Auditorium for the lecture (the gallery will also be open that evening).

+The gallery will also be open for the First Friday Artwalk event: April 6, 5:30-7:30pm and evenings 6-8 pm: March 21 & April 2.

+GALLERY HOURS:  Monday through Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00 to 4:00pm. The gallery is closed during campus holiday closures.

+As always, email me at [email protected] if you have any questions at all!
