Skull Base and Orbital Solitary Plasmacytoma Mimicking a Meningioma

Solitary plasmacytomas (SPs) are rare neoplasms of plasma cells that either arise in bone (solitary bone plasmacytoma, SBP) or in soft tissues (extramedullary plasmacytoma), without evidence of systemic disease.1 These are uncommon tumors that are estimated to account for approximately 5% of all plasma cell neoplasms diagnosed annually.2 The prognosis of SP is variable because some progress to systemic myeloma.
